SYDNEY METRO DELIVERY RATES

10am - 4pm: $5
10am - 2pm: $9
12pm - 4pm: $9

An extra $5 will be charged for postcodes roughly ~20km+ drive from our Homebush location. Your delivery fee will show once you enter your postcode on any cake page.

Dates and/or times can be blocked out without notice.

Requesting a delivery time of your choice or timeframe (such as 1pm, 1–2pm, before noon, after noon, morning etc.) will not be honoured and declined.

DELIVERY PROCESS

Someone must be present at the delivery address to receive the cake. If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, the cake(s) may be left in a designated safe space* where possible; however, this is not recommended.

A tighter delivery timeframe will be SMS to you the day before delivery.

Change of time-frame may incur additional fees, example: Changing from 10am - 4pm timeslot to 10am - 2pm timeslot, this will incur the delivery fee difference.

An additional $14 charge will incur and payable if:
1. No one is at the address to accept the cake, the cake cannot be left in a safe place* and re-delivery^ occurs
or
2. The delivery address is changed after 3pm the day before the delivery date

Please inform Onyx Hive of any changes ASAP to ensure a smooth delivery occurs.

AUTHORITY TO LEAVE IN A SAFE SPACE (NOT RECOMMENDED)

The recipient can authorise the cake to be left in a safe space and can write the notes in the "delivery instructions" area in each cake page.

Where the customer has authorised cake(s) to be left in a designated safe space, Onyx Hive will not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, tampering, weather exposure, temperature-related deterioration, or any other issues that may occur once the delivery has been completed and the cake(s) have been left at the nominated location. Responsibility for the cake(s) transfers to the customer immediately upon delivery to the agreed safe space.

*A safe space refers to a designated area where cake(s) may be left securely for delivery or collection when direct handover is not possible. This space must meet the following conditions unless the recipient stated otherwise:

1. Located in a shaded area and protected from weather exposure, including rain, direct sunlight, wind, or excessive heat.
2. Positioned away from public view to reduce risk of tampering, theft, or accidental disturbance.
3. Clean, stable, and level to prevent tipping, contamination, or damage to the cake(s).
4. Reasonably temperature-controlled where possible, avoiding areas prone to heat buildup (e.g., enclosed balconies in direct sun).
5. Easily accessible to the recipient to minimise the time the cake remains unattended.
6. If you reside in a shared building (e.g., an apartment or unit complex), the cake(s) may be left with reception, concierge, or in the designated lobby area. Under no circumstances or exceptions will cake(s) be left outside the building.

^RE-DELIVERY

A re-delivery applies when an initial delivery attempt has been made but cannot be completed. This may occur for reasons including, but not limited to:

1. The recipient is unavailable at the delivery address to receive the cake(s).
2. No suitable safe space is available for the cake(s) to be left.
3. Incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible delivery details provided by the customer.

In the event delivery cannot be successfully completed, the recipient must promptly contact Onyx Hive to arrange the most appropriate way to finalise delivery.

The recipient may choose one of the following options:
1. Pay a $14 re-delivery fee (payable before re-delivery) to arrange a new delivery time, subject to availability and mutual agreement.
2. Collect the cake(s) on the same day or another day from the Homebush location between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

Under no circumstances will re-delivery be conducted outside standard delivery hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

No refunds will be issued (subject to refund policy) if the recipient chooses to switch to pick-up after an initial delivery attempt has already been made.

Onyx Hive reserves the right to refuse re-delivery where circumstances are unsafe, impractical, or outside reasonable operational control.

DELIVERIES TO RESTAURANTS, VENUES, HOTELS AND SIMILAR THIRD-PARTY LOCATIONS

These locations are accepted for delivery.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that:

1. The location agrees to accept the cake(s) and has appropriate refrigeration available.
2. The location has been informed of the order and the scheduled delivery.
3. The location is open and able to receive the delivery at the time of arrival.
4. Phone number, address and person(s) receiving the cake(s) is noted on the order.
5. Under no circumstances or exceptions will cake(s) be left unattended at these locations unless stated by the customer it is safe to do so.

Where the customer has requested the cake(s) to be delivered to these locations, Onyx Hive will not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, tampering, weather exposure, temperature-related deterioration, or any other issues that may occur once the delivery has been completed and the cake(s) have been delivered at the nominated location. Responsibility for the cake(s) transfers to the customer immediately upon delivery to the agreed location.

Onyx Hive is not responsible to follow-up with these venues if delivery is possible, the responsibility is with the customer.

PICK-UP: 6pm to 9pm

An earlier pick-up time is not available, do not message me if this is possible, the answer will be no.

Pick-up instructions will be sent via e-mail and SMS within 3 days of your selected pick-up date.
