Onyx Hive is not an allergen-free, dairy-free, egg-free and vegan business. Onyx Hive makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction for those with food allergies. However, there is always a risk of contamination as in our kitchen we use products such as milk, eggs, and products that contain gluten, such as wheat-flour but we do offer gluten-free cakes which uses rice flour. We have strict cross-contamination policies; we can not guarantee a total absence of these products in any of our products. Customers with food allergies must be aware of this risk.

Onyx Hive sources the ingredients through Australian suppliers and will pass on the products’ nutrition and allergen information to you. For example, our chocolate is not made from scratch and is purchased from a supplier (such as Cadbury). The packaging labeling state: “May contain wheat, gluten, peanuts, tree nuts.” In-which Onyx Hive will pass on this information to the consumer.

Onyx Hive is not liable for adverse reactions from the food consumed, or items one may come in contact with whilst eating any of our products or itemised food sources.

The nutritional information provided by Onyx Hive is an estimate based on the ingredients used in each product. Values are calculated using available nutritional information from ingredient suppliers and recipe calculations based on the quantities used during production.

As my products are handmade in small batches, actual nutritional values may vary slightly due to differences in ingredient brands, supplier formulations, preparation methods, portion sizes, and natural variations between batches.

Serving sizes and nutritional values are provided as a guide only. Individual products may vary slightly in weight and composition.

Ingredient formulations and supplier nutritional information may change from time to time. Onyx Hive makes every effort to keep product information accurate and up to date; however, customers should refer to the latest available product information before ordering.

Customers with specific dietary requirements, allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions should review the ingredient and nutritional information carefully and seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional where required.

The ingredients are Halal certified or confirmed Halal by the manufacturer themselves and will be replaced with my non-halal ingredients.

Colour Mill and/or Chefmaster colouring

Cadbury Chocolate

Bulla Thickened Cream

Rice flour is used in replacement of wheat flour.

Please note: Cakes that contain dark chocolate mousse are made with packet chocolate from our supplier, which carries the following allergen statement: "May contain wheat, gluten, peanuts, and tree nuts." All other cakes, the mousse is flavoured with condensed milk and do not contain this allergen statement.

Precautionary allergen labelling includes 'may contain' or 'may be present' statements about allergens, such as 'may contain peanuts'. They are voluntary statements made by food suppliers and the Food Standards Code does not regulate them. - foodauthority.nsw.gov.au

Agar agar, dairy (such as cream and lactose-free milk) are used in the mousse, additionally eggs and milk are used to create the cake to classify the overall cake as lacto-ovo vegetarian.
