Honest review:
The entire cake was not sweet at all! The sakura mousse had a very light and creamy texture it didn't break it's shape either even though it was defrosted as instructed upon delivery . The sponge cake was airy and moist not dry like other places . The blueberry cream had just the perfect ratio of real fruit not a single sign of artifical taste. We loved the structural design of the cake very unique and every detail from the box to having a pull out tab which made it easier to take out , and the attention to each layer delivering its own flavour while also not over doing it made the experience so priceless !

I had the privilege of getting my hands on these cookies and damn they were good! I had them heated up in the microwave for about 15 seconds and the chocolate did melt inside but my friend like it not heated.

They were so easy to eat!!! Worth it!!! PEW PEWWWWW

The cake was absolutely stunning! The black and gold design was elegant, beautifully crafted, and looked exactly as we had hoped. the cake was moist, rich, and delicious. Thank you for your attention to detail, excellent communication, and fantastic service. We couldn’t be happier and will definitely order again. Highly recommended!

Not overly sweet, but just sweet enough, beautiful cake. Everyone enjoyed the Ivory cake!

The cake was especially tasty, it is a wonderfull recommendation for those with a sweet teeth .Other than that the cake was very soft and easy to chew. It lookes very pleasing to the eye , I have absolutely no regrets about buying this cake it was an exceptional experience and everyone else who ate the cake says the same. Although the cake is a bit too sweet, it was overall a very pleasant treat, for someone who doesn't have cake often

Dante delivered the cake and he was punctual and very friendly. The cake itself was absolutely delicious, the sponge was soft and moist, the fillings were creamy, and the flavour overall was top-notch. It looked exactly like the photos (if not better!) and truly exceeded my expectations. My mum loved it as well, which made it even more special. I would definitely buy from him again!

We ordered the IVORY White Chocolate & Vanilla Mousse Cake for a celebration and it was a huge hit. The cake was beautifully presented and the mousse layers were light, smooth and incredibly delicious.
What really stood out was that it wasn't overly sweet, which made it enjoyable for everyone and had several guests going back for another slice. It was a refreshing change from the heavily iced cakes that are often served at celebrations.
The white chocolate and vanilla flavours were perfectly balanced, and the cake looked elegant and sophisticated. The gold flakes could perhaps have been arranged a little more evenly, but this was a very minor detail and didn't take away from the overall experience.
Overall, an excellent cake that exceeded expectations. We would happily order from Onyx Hive again.

I got this cake for a friend who likes chocolate cake. They really like it. They thought it was beautiful, moist, rich and just sweet enough. I also ate the cake. I’m not a big fan of chocolate cake but I also thought it was good enough. It’s a bit too rich for me and I probably can’t handle more than 1 slice haha. But good cake for chocolate lovers according to my friend.

We ordered Obsidian - Swapped Imperial Mango Cake Flavour, requested by our 12 year old boy. We could taste that it was made with lots of real mango purée and so much thought. The cake itself looked absolutely stunning. When all the children saw it, their faces lit up with excitement and surprise. It’s not often children would enjoy the cake (as you know, they were picky and usually had their own preferences of the cake texture and flavour), but it came across something so beautifully crafted, and it really made the moment special.

Even before tasting it, everyone could smell the lovely aroma of mango. It was an instant hit, especially with the kids, they really loved that fruity mango flavour. The balance of sweetness and slight sourness was just perfect. It wasn’t overly sweet, nor too sour. The sweetness complemented the sour notes beautifully, making the flavour more vibrant and fragrant. You could also tell there was plenty of real mango inside — the puree was rich and genuine, not artificial at all.

The cake’s texture was also exceptional. The combination of mousse and chiffon worked beautifully. It was light, smooth, and not heavy at all. The mousse was silky and airy without being overly dense or filling, making it very enjoyable for both children and adults.

In terms of portion size, it was absolutely perfect as well. We ordered a cake for 14-16 people, and with 16 children plus several parents joining in, it turned out to be just right. Every single slice was enjoyed, and the cake was finished completely. We were also given a lot of compliments on the cake itself!

We’d also like to thank you once again for Dante’s delivery service. We already knew at the very beginning from your conditions that a very tight delivery timeframe might not be possible, but after careful communication, the cake was managed to deliver to the venue on the day, which we really appreciated. Dante was incredibly thoughtful and responsible throughout the process. I received several confirmation emails, which help double check the address and recipient, update us while the cake was being prepared, and message again on the day of delivery. Everything went smoothly, which helped make the party stress-free and enjoyable for us.

Thanks once again to Dante, it was such a wonderful memory and a delightful surprise for everyone. We are truly grateful, and will very likely order from you again for future celebrations.

This is my 3rd time ordering from him (I’ve tried so many different flavour) and this stood out to me because I love mango flavour.

Since I loved his other cakes, I had high expectations for this flavour and this did not disappoint at all — highly recommend! 😍

I had my eye on this cake for a while and ordered it for a birthday. I don't say this lightly when I say this cake is everything. Moist cake, chocolate-y icing and rich ganache. It's comfort food done perfectly, chocolate with chocolate without it being too sweet. You just want to keep getting another slice.
